On South Jetty, because of the way the waves wash the fish toward the shore, you'll be competing with pelicans.

But the most favored fishing location in Venice is undoubtedly the Venice Fishing Pier south of the city.

The pier is equipped with a bait and tackle shop, sinks for cleaning your catch, and boardwalk lights.

A small fee is levied for the privilege of fishing from the pier.
