South of the center of Venice, west of Venice Municipal Airport (map), the Venice Fishing Pier extends westward into the Gulf of Mexico from Sharky's on the Pier restaurant.

The Fishing Pier is a popular place for fishing, and also for strolling and enjoying the view, especially at sunset.

A bait, tackle and snack shop is in service halfway out the pier. Near it are sinks at which you can clean your catch.

For meals, if you don't bring your own, there's Sharky's, with its popular Tiki bar.

Parking is in the large lot on the east side of Sharky's, between the restaurant and the road (Harbor Drive south).
