Venice Travel Planner logo   Nokomis Beach, Venice Florida
Just north of Venice in Nokomis is the northward extension of Venice Beach onto Casey Key.

Nokomis Beach, at the southern tip of the long island named Casey Key, north of North Jetty and the inlet to Roberts Bay (map), is in the neighboring city of Nokomis to the north of Venice Florida.

If it weren't for the inlet and the jetties, Nokomis Beach would be the continuation of Venice Beach.

Because of the inlet, you must drive north from Venice on the Tamiami Trail (US 41) to Albee Road, and turn left (west) to reach Casey Key. Go south on Casey Key to reach the beach.

Nokomis Beach is locally famous for the come-one, come-all drum circle held most Saturday evenings. Bring any musical instrument (especially a rhythm instrument), or just your voice, or just your ears, and enjoy the friendly, freewheeling musical mood.

Whether you drum or not, Nokomis Beach is a fine place to enjoy the spectacular sunsets of the Gulf of Mexico. More...
